Signed Presentation copy from the author Harold Nicolson to social hostess and arts patron Lady Maud "Emerald" Cunard, with his affectionate inscription to the front pastedown, dated April 1920, "with a particular but not peculiar sense of admiration and gratitude" one month after publication. Additionally signed by Lady Cunard in pencil to opposite page. Bookplate of Anthony Hobson (1921-2014), noted scholar, historian, and auctioneer. 8vo. pp 271. Front hinge cracked.
