Small stain at foot of rear pastedown by join with spine. Association presentation copy from the author to local Chelsea resident and noted bohemian, Mary Swan. There is no doubt the two were well known to each apart from the obvious fact he signed the book for her; both Irish, and both stalwarts of the Finch's (Kings Arms) and Queens Elm in Chelsea. Indeed Treacy was the landlord at both of these legendary bohemian hangouts, and Mary would have often been the other side of the bar with the boozy clientele of artists, actors, losers and boozers. The book was purchased directly from Mary Swan at her Chelsea mansion flat.
