Coloured titlepage, also by Beaton, depicting a scene from the ballet looking towards the stage. With the price-clipped dust-jacket, designed by Beaton, chipped at ends of the spine and bottom right corner of the front panel, smaller chips and edgewear elsewhere. Original black cloth spine over grey boards, slightly soiled. A VG+ copy. Beaton's reminiscences of the great stars and choreographers of his day including Leonide Massine, Tamara Karsavina, George Balanchine, Christian Berard and Lord Berners.
