Mapped endpapers. 21 b/w photographic plates plus numerous line drawn vignettes in the text. Without old inscriptions. A VG+ copy. Account of the 1906 to 1925 expeditions of Col. Percy Fawcett (1867-1925) who disappeared with one of his sone's and his son's friend during an expedition in the Matto Grosso region of Central Brazil in 1925. The book was put together by surviving son Brian from expensive records left behind. The final fate of the three men has never been conclusively agreed upon.
