Little booklet produced by the cookery accessory firm of Profumo Gaetano, situated in the via del Campo, in Genova. Printed in black on pale blue paper wrappers, the interior contains around 50 recipes for typical Italian dishes of the day, divided into different sections: torta, polpettone, ripieni, arrosti, arresti, carciofi, pasticcio, farinata, foccaccia, pane, biscotti, amaretti, ciambelle, pasticcini, giardiniera, pesche, patate. Also contains advertisements for cooking pans and other kitchen utensils plus testimonials from satisfied customers. 34 printed pages, including wrappers, which are stained, as are the first few leaves. Date of publlication not stated, but sometime after 1896, which is printed on the front in ligth of Profumo Gaetano winning an award that year, so my guess is date of printing would be 1897. Seemingly not listed anywhere, thus something of an oddity and certainly rather rare.
