Printed from the original plates. Number 60 of a Limited Edition of 100 copies printed on handmade paper, of which 74 were offered for sale, and one set issued on vellum. Folio, 28 loose leaves comprising titlepage (with tissue-guard), two page introduction by Rota, limitation leaf, 12 hand-coloured plates, eight vignettes, and five maps, all printed from the original plates. Original half green morocco with paper covered boards. Interior drop-back box comprising the titlepage, two pages of text, colophon and the 25 plates. Gilt title to spine, nice and bright. A fine copy. Whistler's illustrated Gulliver's Travels was first published by The Cresset Press in an edition of 195 copies on handmade paper alongside ten copies on vellum. The edition has been described as "one of the most handsome books ever to be published in this country".
