Publisher's original khaki green cloth, upper joint on vol I beginning to split, gilt title lettering and wreath to backstrips, spines slightly sunned, top edge of spine on vol I slightly tender, gilt titles bright across both vols. Hand-coloured frontispieces and titlepage vignette in each volumes and a total of 16 hand-coloured plates with each plate showing at least two types of birds, plus 11 wood engravings. Former owner inscription in both vols. A VG+ copy of this early bird book in original cloth with rather charming, naive, hand-coloured plates.
