Signed and dated by Hughes to the fly-leaf in blue pen. Second impression of the first edition, issued three year after first printing. Publisher's blue cloth with the price-clipped dust-jacket, untorn, backstrip slightly sunned and rubbed at ends. A collection of 40 poems. Hughes's first book of poetry and second overall after 'Lupercal'. The book received immediate acclaim in both England and America, where it won the Galbraith Prize. It is dedicated to Hughes's then first wife Sylvia Plath
