A three act play set in Earls Court, London, where Hamilton himself lived, it deals with both alcohol-drinking practices of the time and the underlying political context. George Longford, the lead character, is staying in his friend's flat because he's down on his luck; his friend Sir Charles Waterbury lives upstairs and they communicate via the radio. Then an unexpected visitor starts to menace George in his flat... The play was adapted for television by the BBC.
