No old inscriptions or other markings, contents very fresh, with just some light spots of foxing to edges of text black to detract. Illustrated endpapers. A near fine copy, not commonly met with in such sharp condition. Two journals kept while researching background for two of his novels set in Africa, A Burnt-Out Case and The Heart of the Matter.
