Handsomely bound by Sangorski and Sutcliffe in full green calf, spine sunned down to brown, with gilt lettering to front board and spine panels; spine decorated with gilt motifs of a sporting theme; marbled endpapers. A few spots of foxing to endpapers. A handsome copy. Originally published privately in 1837 by Rudolph Ackerman for Lawrence Rawstorne, "and the only copies that found their way into country house libraries were gifts from the author," (Eric Parker - Introduction).
