Bookplate of noted Dickens collector J.F. Schenck plus numerous newspaper cuttings relating to Dickens and the Pickwick saga pasted in on the endpapers, with pencilled gift inscriptions and notes saying when and where book was purchased "bought at Sewall Sale by JF Schenck Nov 14 1896". Spine slightly rubbed but still a most attractive copy in contemporary calf binding.
