A fine copy. The Adventures of Hamza, or "Hamzanama", is a large and heavily decorated manuscript made for the Indian emperor Akbar in the 17th century. More than sixty pages from the manuscript were brought together (the majority from the Austrian Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna) for a travelling exhibition which began at the Freer Gallery of Art in Washington DC in 2002. The catalogue features hundreds of colour illustrations, several learned essays and lengthy catalogue entries.
