Printed and published at the "Times" office, Marlborough c 1908

Original pictorial boards with red linen spine, boards slightly grubby. 24 pages of coloured illustrations by the author accompanied by his text. Date of publication suggested by the Bodleian Library. A parody of H. Hoffmann's Struwwelpeter, written and illustrated by A. de C. Williams. It follows the life and tribulations of a Marlborough College schoolboy. Legendary cricketer W.G. Grace's makes a cameo appearance on p.16. Just four copies in British libraries (BL, and University libraries of Oxford, Exeter and Manchester). Exceptional condition for age, with no inscriptions, just some mild mellowing to boards but pages fresh and bright.

Scarce in this bright state.
