Bound by D. Clarke, binder of Woburn, with his label at foot of the front pastedown, in contemporary half-calf over marbled boards, edges and corners rubbed. Owner inscription to front endpaper, "R.N. Colville, Peterhouse". The author's preface to this edition is dated April 1841. "For this edition the plates were 'touched up' by Findlay and changed in several details wtih sometimes new backgrounds added - considerably to the original artist's disgust." - Thomson
