The Female Eunuch (1970) by Germaine Greer is a groundbreaking feminist manifesto challenging traditional gender roles and women's oppression. Greer argues that societal expectations turn women into passive, domesticated figures, stripping them of autonomy - like eunuchs. She critiques marriage, beauty standards, and sexual repression, urging women to reclaim their identities and desires. Bold and provocative, the book became a cornerstone of second-wave feminism, inspiring debates on female liberation and personal empowerment.
