Composite volume of the two Alice books, bound in bright red contemporary calf by Bayntun with double labels to spine and Bayntun's gilt Alice tooling to spine and board incorporating the Rabbit on the front, the King on the back and the Card, the Rabbit, and other characters to the spine. All edges gilt. Light rubbing near top of the front edge of the spine. Without old inscriptions. A fine copy. 20th century editions of the two Alice stories, handsomely offered in a very stylish binding, which would make an ideal gift to a young reader.
