First (and only) edition. Text in Latin. 12mo (6.4 x 4 ins); pp [xxiii] + [465]. Engraved device on titlepage and throughout the text, mainly in the form of coronets. Later binding of full calf, probably late 18th century, with single gilt fillet around sides, ornate gilt inner dentelles back and front, red calf pastedowns, marbled endpapers. Raised bands to the spine inset with gilt crown ornaments, edges rubbed. All edges gilt. Text block extremely clean and tight, no spots of foxing or exposure of gutters. A near fine copy.
