Contains two stories featuring naughty dogs with a penchant for stealing and chewing old shoes, namely "There was an old woman who lived in a shoe" and, drawn by John Hassall, and "Cock-a-doodle-do", by Cecil Aldin. Landscape format. Original cloth-backed pictorial boards, edges slightly rubbed, small stain to lower board. Patches of heavy foxing at front interior gutter at join with the titlepage. Colour printed full page illustrations mostly with a single line of descriptive text. A VG+ copy of this charmingly illustrated book for the dog lover.
