Publisher's pale brown buckram with gilt blocked lettering to front and spine in addition to a circular coloured image of a man in driving gear hard at the wheel of his automobile. Top edge of the text block gilt. Illustrated endpapers. Title page printed in red and black. A fine copy. With the business card of Edward Tenison Collins (1859-1925), of the Royal Societies Club, laid down to first pastedown. Tenison Collins was from Cardiff and attained the rank of Lieut-Colonel in the Royal Army Medical Corps during World War I. He is buried at Cathays, outside Cardiff.
