First trade edition - there is also a Limited Edition of 75 copies in full vellum signed by illustrator Thomas Mackenzie - in original pale red cloth with gilt lettering to the spine, which is become slightly discoloured due to effects of direct sunlight, head and tail of spine slightly rubbed. Foolscap 4to (225 mm); x, 190 pp. 36 plates by Thomas Mackenzie. Mackenzie's illustrations are reminiscent of the work of his Art Nouveau peers, including Aubrey Beardsley, Harry Clarke and Kay Nielsen (Wikipedia)
