First Edition. 8vo. pp 207. Original beige cloth boards, somewhat soiled, with black lettering to spine. Tips of corners worn. Endpapers browned and contents thumbed with a few dirty thumb marks. With the unclipped dust-jacket, which is chipped and creased with a small triangular piece missing from back panel. Inscribed by Williams to the first free endpaper, "To Edith Capon, Good luck & thanks, Tennessee Williams, London, October 1951". Another inscription, seemingly an ownership tag, read "Edi Capon, Hollywood, 1947" written on the same page.
