First UK Edition, first published in the USA in 1969. Publisher's navy blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt. With the striking dust-jacket designed Rosanne Cumming-designed tricolour dust-jacket in blue, yellow, and white. A fine copy. A lovely copy of the scarcer British edition of Bishop's complete poems, comprising North & South, A Cold Spring, and Questions of Travel, with added dedications, plus 'Translations from the Portuguese' and 'New and Uncollected Work'. 1000 copies only were published. Winner of the 1970 National Book Award. Roseanne Cumming, who designed the jacket, as also the name Megan Marshall uses for the younger woman Bishop met in Seattle in 1964 during her first semester teaching, and who became her lover.
