With the dust-jacket with small piece missing at foot of spine, another small chip halfway up, and a one inch closed tear to bottom edge of front panel, else bright and clean, with portrait photograph of Dali on the back panel. Jacket not price-clipped. Macabre tale about a Scotsman who abruptly breaks off his engagement to Kitty and moves to his uncle's castle in the Scottish highlands. She and her aunt follow him a few weeks later and discover he has suddenly aged. Mysterious things happen in a yew tree maze adjoining the castle. Later the basis for a 1953 horror film of the same name.
