Undated, but 1902. Large 8vo. pp. 318 pp. Portrait frontispiece of the author, illustrated titlepage with red and black lettering, 64 pages of photographic plates, many tinted green, brown or red, copious photographs in the text and at chapter heads. Handsomely rebound in ornate tan calf with panelled spine, title in gilt to front and spine, top edge gilt. Small area of rubbing on rear board, very minimal. Marbled end-papers. Some traces of water damage along the top margin of the middle section of the book, not affecting text or integrity of the paper. The inscription to the leaf after the titlepage is printed and common to all copies.
