A rendering into English verse of the unfinished poem of Lucretius, entitled "DE RERUM NATURA" ("The Nature of Things"). Small quarto (8 x 6.25 ins); pp [viii] + 348. Publisher's royal blue cloth, sides bright, spine somewhat dulled with bright gilt lettering and bands. Corner tips and spine ends a touch rubbed. Endpapers blotched with foxing, text pages with light marginal toning. With the bookplate of Lord Monkbretton, plus another later ownership label. A VG+ copy. Translation of Lucretius's didactic poem 'On The Nature of Things'.
